Bug-A-Lugs Kindergarten Program

We’re thrilled to announce that Bug-A-Lugs is now operating its newly funded Kindergarten program, offering high quality early learning for 3 and 4 year olds in one inspiring space.

Our mixed-age kindergarten room is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence through play-based learning.

In 2026, our Kindergarten will operate three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Younger children thrive by learning from older peers, while older children strengthen leadership and social skills in a caring, inclusive environment.

Our educators create warm, supportive spaces where all child’s strengths and interests are valued. Through hands-on exploration, inquiry projects, and meaningful relationships, we help children build independence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning, preparing them for school and beyond.

Extended Care

We plan to extend to a five day in 2027, giving families even more flexibility and continuity of care.

Holiday Care

Holiday care will be available only to children already enrolled in our Long Day Care.

This ensures familiar educators, consistent routines, and a safe, nurturing environment throughout the holidays.

Fee Structure

Long Day Care

Fee is $130 per day

An option for a step up program over the school holiday for $30 extra per day

A minimum of two days per week is required to support consistency, routine, and a strong sense of belonging for children and families.

Extended Care

Funded kindergarten is available for all 3- and 4-year-old children enrolled at Bug-A-Lugs.

Children attending our funded kindergarten program will receive a subsidy (approximately $80.81 per fortnight), which is applied directly to your account in instalments across the year.

This helps reduce your out-of-pocket fees. You can only apply for funded kinder at one centre.

Educational Program

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

Eligible families may receive the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) from the Australian Government.

CCS is paid directly to the service and reduces your fees.

Families are responsible for paying the remaining gap (co-contribution).

The amount of CCS you receive depends on your family income and activity level.

Additional Information

Funded kindergarten operates during school terms only.
Families enrolled in funded kindergarten can access holiday care on their child’s usual enrolled days at the standard daily fee.
Holiday program access for 3–4 year olds is available to children enrolled in our regular care program.
Children may choose to participate in the holiday program activities or continue with their usual routine.
